FundWe – Payout Policy
1. Overview
FundWe provides two types of payout models depending on how the campaign is set up:
- Platform-Processed Payouts (FundWe handles funds)
- Direct Creator Payouts (Funds go directly to creator)
The applicable payout method is selected during campaign setup.
2. Platform-Processed Payouts
In this model, FundWe collects donations on behalf of the campaign creator and later transfers the funds.
How It Works:
- Donations are received and held securely by FundWe
- Platform service fees and applicable transaction charges are deducted
- Remaining balance is made available for withdrawal
Payout Conditions:
- Creator must complete identity verification (KYC)
- Campaign must pass review and compliance checks
- Minimum payout threshold may apply
- No active fraud or dispute flags
Processing Time:
- Payout requests are processed within 3–7 business days
- Additional delays may occur if verification is pending
Fees:
- Platform fee (as defined during campaign setup)
- Payment gateway transaction fees
3. Direct Creator Payouts (PayPal-Based)
In this model, donations are sent directly to the campaign creator’s PayPal account.
How It Works:
- Donors send funds directly to the creator
- FundWe does not collect, hold, or process these funds
Platform Fees:
- A platform service fee may still apply for using FundWe services
- Fees may be charged separately (e.g., listing, promotion, or platform usage)
Responsibility:
FundWe is not responsible for:
- Payment processing
- Failed or delayed transactions
- Disputes between donors and creators
Creators are fully responsible for managing received funds.
4. Withdrawal Rules
For platform-processed funds:
- Creators can request withdrawal from available balance
- Withdrawals may require additional verification
- Incorrect payment details may result in delays or failed payouts
5. Fraud & Security Checks
To protect users, FundWe may:
- Temporarily hold payouts for suspicious activity
- Review transactions before releasing funds
- Reject or cancel payouts if fraud is detected
Accounts involved in fraudulent activities may be permanently banned.
6. Disputes & Holds
FundWe reserves the right to:
- Hold payouts if a campaign is under investigation
- Delay or cancel payouts in case of disputes or chargebacks
- Recover funds if fraudulent activity is confirmed
7. Taxes & Compliance
Campaign creators are solely responsible for:
- Reporting income received through FundWe
- Paying any applicable taxes
FundWe does not provide tax or financial advice.
8. No Guarantee Clause
FundWe does not guarantee:
- Timelines for payout completion
- Approval of payout requests
- Availability of funds in case of disputes or reversals
9. Policy Updates
FundWe reserves the right to update this Payout Policy at any time.
Continued use of the platform indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
